I wrote this article for the Orlando Sentinel this week. It was a humbling experience for me.

It is easy to do a story on insignificant events, topics or discussions. But this topic is not insignificant. It is close to the heart of Jesus.

Slaves are lowest on the totem pole of society; they are people who live a life brutality, force and coercion.

My article was focused on slavery in Sudan, but slavery is a problem in the U.S., in Congo and throughout the whole world.

... the Spirit of the Lord is upon us, because he has anointed us to bring freedom to the captives (Luke 4:18.)

This is the reality of the Christian life. As you read my article, I pray that you take the time and pray for those who lie in their beds at night, wondering, “Who will free me?”

We as Christians were meant to bring freedom to these people, but too often we show up too late and quit too early.

I had the help of Andrew's photography and a professor that really believes in the topic, Rick Brunson.

Thank God for both of them.
