Wreckage of the deadly UN plane crash, only one survivor.
We received an email from Pastor Paul this morning saying that a UN transport flight from eastern DR Congo crashed when landing in Kinshasa.

Pastor Paul works for the United Nations as a translator for the UN Military Police. On the flight were two UN MP staff members, Pastor Paul's MP chief and another MP whom he works closely.

Wreckage of the deadly UN plane crash, fuselage in pieces.
Of the 33 people on board, 32 died in the crash. Both MPs did not survive. According to a BBC article, the United Nations CRJ-100 transport plane broke into pieces after it hit the runway while landing in heavy rain.

Please pray for Pastor Paul and his coworkers. Morale in the office is extremely low, "the shock is too big," Pastor Paul said in an email to us. Pray that God would comfort the families who lost a loved one. Also pray that Pastor Paul would have an opportunity to minister in this difficult time and share Christ.

The Military Police have helped us on several occasions with logistics on the ground in Congo. They have been hospitable people to us and have been good colleagues to Pastor Paul.

Since the men were from Bangladesh, many of them did not know Jesus. This is just a reminder that life is short and tomorrow is not guaranteed. Today is the day of salvation.
